Ingredients:
- 1 pint chickpea $1.75
- 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin(heap) $0.50
- 1 large onion (chopped) $0.15
- 4 clove garlic (chopped) $0.10
- 1 medium hot pepper (chopped) $0.25
- salt to taste $0.05
- 1 potspoon oil $0.15
- total cost 2.95
Preparation:
- wash chickpea add chickpea into a large bowl of water the chickpea must be totally submerged and set aside overnight or 4 hours
- strain chickpea
- heat water in a pressure cooker/pot
- add chickpea and allow to pressure 15 minutes
- check for desire tenderness
- heat oil in a pan add all ingredients stir for 2 minutes
- add chickpea, stir fry for a few minutes about 4-5 minutes
- SERVE HOT ALONE OR WITH MANGO CHUTNEY GOOD FOR 4 ADULTS
