This is another great finger food wonderful as a snack or at any gathering including cocktails.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp (de-vein)
- 1 lb flour
- 1/4 butter/margarine
- 1 tps salt
- 2 head scallion(chopped)
- 1/2 tps black pepper
- 1 tps oyster sauce
- 1 tps. oil
- 1/2 tps corn starch
- 1 egg
- flour for dusting
- cold water
Preparation:
- Wash and chop shrimp into very small pieces
- Heat oil in pan
- Add chopped shrimp ,scallion,black pepper,oyster sauce and 1/2 tps. salt
- Stir fry mixture until shrimp begins to fry
- Dissolved corn starch in 1/4 cup water, add to shrimp and stir for 1 minute
- Remove from heat and set to cool
- MIX butter into flour using either your fingers or an egg beater
- add 1/2 cup cold water continue to mix adding water if NECESSARY
- When mixture begins to come together make one large ball squeezing if necessary
- Divide mixture into ping pong size balls
- Flatten ball using a rolling pin
- Add a little shrimp and spread across the middle of the dough
- Fold dough from one end to the next
- Use a wet fork to close the ends of patties
- Repeat this with all other balls
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Place patties on a pan and bake for 15 minutes
- Beat egg in a bowl with 1/4 cup water
- Remove patties and brush on egg wash
- Return to oven for 10 more minutes
