Boil and Fried Chickpeas

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint chickpea
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin(heap)
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 4 clove garlic (chopped)
  • 1 medium hot pepper (chopped)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 pot spoon oil

Preparation:

  • wash chickpeas add chickpea into a large bowl of water the chickpea must be totally submerged and set aside overnight or 6 hours
  • strain chickpea
  • heat water in a pressure cooker/pot
  • add chickpea and allow to pressure 15 minutes,
  • check for desire tenderness if tender enough remove water
  • heat oil in a pan add all ingredients stir for 2 minutes
  • add chickpea, stir fry for a few minutes about 4-5 minutes
  • SERVE HOT ALONE OR WITH MANGO CHUTNEY  GOOD FOR 4 ADULTS
