Fufu

Fufu is a delicious African meal. We will not make it the old fashioned way, rather we will use new and advance kitchen utensils so it can be done more efficiently.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. cassava
  • 2 lbs. green plantains (unripe)
  • little salt

Preparation:

Peel and wash the ingredients then cut into small pieces.

Heat 1/2 pot of water and add all ingredients. Allow to boil until tender then strain.

Add small amounts into a food processor and process. Add very little water while processing. (THIS SHOULD BE DONE IN A MATHA BUT THAT WAS IN THE OLDEN DAYS WHEN THERE WAS NO PROCESSOR)

Remove when smooth and form into a ball.

Repeat until all is done.

Serve with Pepper pot, any Stew or Soup.
